Thanks for the response, I got it figured out by calling the place that I was using the instructions from ( online ) and they told me their directions were missing some steps.

We got it all worked ...

A V-8 flywheel does have one bolt that is offset from the slant 6 pattern. Here is a picture of the one that I just did.

I would call back and make sure that 1.88" exhaust valve will clear the bore. The 1.88" exhaust valve was a Max Wedge item and the block was notched for clearance. Better yet, ask them to use 2.14/1.8 ...

Well i just ordered a set of 452 heads with the upgraded 2.19 X 1.88- 3/8 Stainless Steal Valve Stem.

Whoops! You don't need or want that 1.88" exhaust valve. Most don't flow any better than the 1. ...
