Update to this real old thread:

The DuLux paint code for the correct '60 225 metallic deep aquamarine engine paint is 15657D2. Tends to be a very difficult code to bring up any more, though you might luck out. If you don't, fetch a bottle of this nail polish, which is a dead-on-balls match for 15657D2, take it to an auto paint supply house and have them make you some of it in a high-heat enamel. You can (or they can) spread it evenly on a white card, let it dry, then use their scan tool to derive a paint recipe/formula.

Further update to this ancient thread: I have been informed by a major auto paint supply house specialising in vintage car restoration materials that the old code 15657D2 crosses to the new PPG/Ditzler code 11923. I have not verified this with my own eyes as I did with that nail polish reference, but I'm parking the info here in case anyone will try it one day.

For that matter, Greg, your car's body paint looks to be in the close neighbourhood of this engine paint we're talking about!

I dunno..

I think its the monitor..

I have an original '60 block out of a pioneer or something.. they are not the same in my opinion... but they are both metal flake metallic.

(And now I'm on my computer, it looks a lot less like a match. I think your car is greener than that engine colour.)

Hey Dan,

The silver on 61 (Aussie) Valiant engines....is it just a plain old silver, or more an Aluminium looking finish ??

For a close match on that silver, try something like VHT SP-188 "Ford" Argent wheel paint.
