does anyone know where i can order a book that tells how to wire a 73 duster i have stripped for a drag car?

You can get Factory Service manuals that have all the schematics for your car from Ebay, Year One and a few other places.

Painless Wiring has some "How To" books, see:

I tend to "strip-down" the factory harness then add any needed circuits for the racing stuff.
Automotive 12 volt negitive ground circuits are not that hard to deal with.
