OK, early Valiant people. What do we know about door window seals for the 62 Valiant?

To be specific, the seals I need are the ones that run along the base of the glass on both sides, sealing the inside of the door. In 63 these seals would become the more familiar and readily available "cat whiskers," but in the first three years they are something else entirely and I have no clue where to find replacements.

Mine are all baked. The car I have been rebuilding for an eternity was rescued from near death in a Mississippi field and the rubber is rotted and, in some cases, missing altogether.

As always, any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Not hard to find. Try Andy Bernbaun (not sure of the spelling).

They're still cat whiskers on the '60-'62 cars, just a different style. Good source for them is Restoration Specialties, listed here.

Here is what they have listed:

http://www.restorationspecialties.com/2 ... log/31.pdf

The only listing they have for 62 are the Lancer wagon, (oh to have one of those!), and Valiant 2 door hardtop.

Do you know if these kits include the strips for the inside as well, or are these replacements for the outside only?

Mine are so bad they don't even look like cat whiskers anymore.

Lancer and Valiant are same, and wagon and 4-door are same. Only thing I'm not sure of is whether 2-door hardtop and 2-door sedan are same.
