Hey guys, I have 1963 Dodge Dart GT 225.
I'm new and still learning but are there some quick and easy ways to increase horsepower?!
The car doesn't have much "pick up" or doesn't accelerate too quickly. almost feels like a heavy 4 cylinder
Is that normal?
Thanks in advance

Welcome here. First things first: make sure everything's in good condition (compression test, also check for timing chain slack as described here). Tune-up parts and technique suggestions in this post. Also see this thread. Above all, as soon as you can, get the three books listed in this thread and…start readin'!

Do the Fuel line mod. It will also be a good idea to service the oil pressure relief valve to make sure it's doing its job, as described in these two threads: thread 1, thread 2.

Once you've got everything shipshape, then start thinking about upgrades. First up: do the HEI upgrade.
