Not sure where to post this. I am looking at buying a 170 in Michigan and need it shipped to the border crossing in Sweetgrass Montana. Does anyone know how to go about doing this without tripling the cost of the purchase.

Check with Fastenal. They will ship large items in their truck at a space and route available plan. Usually cheaper than regular truck shipments

Is there something "special" about this particular 170? Id think you could find one somewhat closer.... Michigan to Montana covers a lot of ground. might be able to save a ton on shipping if you found one closer.

that said, I'm on a few tractor forums, among them "Yesterday's Tractors" They have a section just for such requests.
Also depending on how big of a hurry you are in, maybe someone passing thru that could bring it part way then another member picks it up and takes it a bit "on their travels" and so on... far fetched but I've been a part of a chain like that..... a couple of times.

no hurry, I am looking on the Forabodiesonly forum for just that type of shipping. I know it may take a long time to get it sorted but who knows.
