The weather actually isn’t all that terrible. It was cooler due to some rain earlier and stayed a little overcast. High 70s to mid 80s yesterday. It will probably be hotter today.

12 cars. Rick won first one and Ryan won the second.

Runner up was Lou and Brian Mimken.

Lou lowered the B nitrous to 8.11.

We are out for a late dinner now. Everyone said, “Tell Greg to show up and see for himself” :P

Yeah, great times last night, and at the car show this mornin'. I am tempted to try to hit the 7s with a bigger N2O shot, but probably will just bracket race today and wait on that little escapade. The V is performing very well.

So great to see everybody and hang out!

Lou

Made it home about 2:45PM today. Made about 6 stops trying to keep the old sciatic nerves under control!

Covalt's had a decent weekend again. And I think we all had a great time. Thanks to Ron and Kay and all that helped them make the races a success. 4 races in one weekend is a lot and they did a really good job putting this together. I suppose that this was the first time a Father/Son has won races on the same Day? So that was cool. I will post some pictures later or in the next few days at least.

Oh,and yes it was miserable hot and humid. The humidity was so bad the on the 2nd race Saturday night that I had trouble seeing the tree through my glasses and the windshield even though I was wiping them as we went to the line!

Sorry John, I was typing while you were.

Yes Ron Hamby won the 1st race and Ryan Covalt won the 2nd one. R/U's were Ryan and Jack Everhardt III. There were about 5 or 6 records set and lowered!. I think Ryan lowered the A Gas record 3 or 4 times and it should be 7.05!!

B/N 1/8th mile records (ET and MPH) were set by Jack Everhardt Jr (10 something), Rob Simmons (high 8 something), Norm Foster (8.2 something), and Lou Madsen (8.11 @ 83.60).
D/N 1/8th mile records (ET and MPH) were set by Jack Everhardt III (10 something)
A/G 1/8th mile record (ET) was set by Ryan Covalt (7.05)

6 people set/re-set records. The record book will show a total of 11 record changes!

4 Slant 6 races (2 regular Wilkesboro, 1 Mason-Dixon (MD) makeup, 1 Motormile (VA) makeup in 2 days.

Socializing, car showing, food munching, dance stretching, plug switching, big smoky tire burning, lots of SWEATING - you name it!

More fun than should be allowed by law!!

Lou

And I got pictures to prove it, but I'm too tired to post this evening. Maybe tomorrow!
