I finally have a slant back in my life! Housed in a 1963 Valiant Signet 200 2 Door Hardtop Coupe. 1973 BH block, drool tube heads, tiny exhaust pipe and itty bitty Carter BBS. Front end needs some sheet metal, and some tuning but she is solid.

Welcome back! Nice to see you. If you are interested, I have a Super Six intake and 318 BBD for sale. That would fix your tiny carb problem.

I could definitely use the intake and carb!

Hmmm, late model block, early push button automatic. I hope everything is matched up.

Front end sheet metal looks fine to me. I would focus on upgrading the braking, suspension, and electrical systems first, then start on the fun stuff. Ditto re: mating late engine to early trans.

I will be pulling the transmission to replace gaskets etc, so I'll check to make sure the torque converter snout ring is on there. If not, I'll have to get one.

On the list is discs up front, 8.25" in the rear, dual exhaust, shave head, insert slightly larger cam, Holley 2300 carb and EI conversion. Wiring looks good, but i have a brand new harness for it already.

Should come together quickly.

Thanks!

I just happen to have a few bits and pieces, should you be of a mind to stop by.

Welcome back Bobby! :D

Oh Ceej, you know it won't be long when I have a slant! Oh, I also converted a good friend of mine to a slant. He just picked up a REALLY CLEAN 1960 Dart Seneca with 225. Maybe I can convince him to bring his down too. It's really pretty. Mine on the other hand, looks like it came out of a demo derby at the state fair.

Or maybe I'll bring the 58 down... who knows! lol

You know, you never came after that supercharger.... You could still have an engine all rebuilt, gussied up and looking for a place to go, other than sitting at the gear end of my lathe....

I need to move a couple engines around. Travis needs to take delivery of his, you could come get this one, and then I can clear out some of the clutter in my shop! :D

Won't be at Woodburn today. Taking off for work in 15 minutes. Probably be home around 6 or 7.

You are absolutely correct!

If there's anything further on it than the short block.. I think I'll be needing to throw you some cash money for it!

I would be more than happy to come get it out of your way though. It would bolt very nicely into my little go-kart of a Valiant!

The cam came out, and found it's way into Mike's Dart.

I'm sure I've got some bits and pieces here that could find their way onto it!
