Hey guys. I’m looking to replace my front suspension for a 66 Valiant Signet. Any recommendations on trusty retro fit websites to order parts from?

Can you be more specific on what you intend to replace? New bushings, ball joints, and good shocks should freshen it up nicely. Stiffer torsion bars could be installed at the same time if you want a firmer ride. Or did you have something more exotic in mind?

Okay. I think we have a communication problem and possibly a knowledge and terminology problem.

1. The A-body suspension is fundamentally sound and does not need to be replaced wholesale. If it is worn then it needs to be rebuilt by replacing wear items. If you want improved handling that is available without removing the original suspension and replacing it with another design.

2. Neither MacPherson, nor Chapman struts are a part of any A-body suspension. If this is confusing to you please read the following:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_wi ... suspension This is the type of front suspension used on your Valiant.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotchkiss_drive The type of rear suspension used on your Valiant.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MacPherson_strut
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chapman_strut

3. If you would state your goals for the car that might be an easier way forward.
