Can I run big pattern on rear and have small bolt pattern on front?

Sure. You will just have to carry two spares -- one for each bolt pattern. You might also look into wheel bolt pattern adapters for the front and run LBP front and back.

Its pretty easy to change the front.

The larger pattern give many more options.

I will do the front at some point, I found a 7 1/4 with posi that Im thinking of buying and it has BBP.

That gives you a good excuse to do a front disc brake upgrade in the future. Most people looking at that swap have to consider the opposite problem (LBP in front, SBP in back).
