Hopefully someone has done this and can give some tips; I'm in the process of trying to rebuild the front suspension on my 63 Valiant. I want to remove the upper control arm.;
Its not been touched since new, I'm sure. Well, I managed to get two large nuts and washers removed. The book just says to remove the nuts and cams and pull the arm off.
If only it were that simple ....Do the two cam "washers" just pop off?? Also looks like the shocks are in the way. Any tips/steps to take would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Sometimes it is as simple as the FSm indicates.. many times not.

Remove the Shock absorber, set it aside out of the way.

Use lots of PB B'laster kano kroil of whatever penetrating gooo you choose along with pry bars, hammer and Torch.

They can be quite a lot of work to remove, if they have been in a rush environment and sometimes I have had to cut the ends of the cam eccentric bolts off with an air or electric cut off and then burn the bolts out of the rubber and shells to replace the bushings.
