"The time has come", the Walrus said...

My Valiant needs to go to a new, good home.
1965 V100 4-door, good body and paint, shaved, Jeep Dark Khaki
1968 170, less than 4k miles since rebuild, overbored .060 or .080 - I can't remember
stock cam, mild porting, 78 Super Six stack, Chrysler electronic ignition
driver's side alternator on a p/s bracket
2 1/4" exhaust, Dynomax Super Turbo
aluminum flywheel, stock clutch, 1976 833od iron trans, aluminum driveshaft
big bolt 7 1/4" with 64 clutch-style Sure-Grip diff wearing 3.23 gears
big bolt discs up front, 14x6 aluminum 5 spoke rims wearing Fuzion 195/70-14 tires
front ADDCO sway bar 1 1/8", KYB shocks, 16:1 manual steering box
Honda Accord seats , includes new carpet kit
new(ish) gas tank, new sending unit

Lots more already done and more needed, but I drove it from southern KY to Gulf Shores AL and back without a hiccup.
Best highway MPG was 28.
It ran at Clay City in 2019; best run was 11.58@60.8 (1/8) and 18.15@73.2 (1/4).
It is set up more for handling and mileage, but it wasn't the slowest car there either.

I'm starting here, but will be going 'public' in a few weeks.
My health forces the sale.
Working on it used to be a good stress relief, but it's not helping me anymore and I'm not going to be able to complete it the way I wanted.
I would like to get $5000 for it and a truckload of spares, but I will talk price in person.
We are in Tompkinsville KY.

Joe

This is such a sweet car. Nicely prepped by one of the best mechanics I know.

All the best,
Lou

How about $4k without all the extra parts?

Wish I would have seen this before I had work started on my 91 Toyota cressida head gasket. This would have been a much better daily driver. The other issue would have been that it's a bit of a trip from Topeka, KS. This looks like one sweet ride.

Thanks, and welcome :)

At least your Cressida has a straight-6, eh?
Tip: If you shorten the right side engine mount it'll run better

Second attempt at contacting you concerning the 65 Valiant. Still for sale?

Post subject:  Re: 1965 Valiant

Thanks for your inquiry.
The car has been spoken for, although the current restrictions might keep it here a while longer.

I will advertise whatever parts are leftover once the transaction is final.
Stay tuned
