Hi
Absolutely a newbie, so, bear with me.
I just bought a 63 Dodge Dart, with a bone stock 170 slant six and a 3 speed manual on the Colum.
I've also got access to a 64 dart with a 225 and a push button 904??? auto, I'm assuming. Looks like it also has a 2 barrel carb. The rest of the 64 is junk, so, looking for info on swapping it out?? I'd like a little more power, and I'm also towing around a 1952 Nomad teardrop trailer, so, the auto is a plus.
Do I need to do any machining, modifications??? What I'm hoping is I can do a fairly simple bolt in swap?? Tranny mounts?? Drive shaft?? Not sure about the Colum shift, but the push button part of the instrument cluster looks accessible.
Anyway, any help would be much appreciated. Love the body style, and of course, I've heard for years that the slant 6 is a solid engine.
thanks in advance. Glen
