Hey everyone. I have two questions. They probably are redundant but here it goes. Is an exhaust manifold for a Super Six the same as one for a one barrel carb setup? Secondly, does anyone have a picture of the kickdown linkage, and the dimensions, for a Super Six manifold setup? Thanks y'all.

I can help with the first question: No. The exhaust manifold for a Super Six has a choke pocket that does not line up with the choke pocket for a 1 bbl. Other than that they are almost identical (some say the Feather Duster had a different outlet).

I can't provide a pic of the kickdown because mine is a manual.

Did you review the Super Six article posted here?

Some linkage photos are there.

I got two of those, it's the header pipe, the manifold is the same as the 1973-1979 units I also have...

This is interesting, since I also have a couple of these exhaust manifolds and the only difference is the ribs on the runners compared to the earlier 70's manifolds, the late 70's choke pocket lines up fine for the Holley 1945 choke...(but may not work right for a BBS or Holley 1920 without the 1973 only choke pull off???)

I'm going to start a new thread for the super six choke pocket... I pulled a smattering of manifold stacks and cores covering 1973 up to an early 80's manifold... and took some pics of the stock setup off the Aspen I just bought.... and fitted up both the Holley 1945 and SMP Super Six Choke Thermostat with no problems....

Thanks for the info. I have an intake and exhaust manifold setup for a super six, I just wondered if I could get away with just changing the intake.

It's been many years since I did that particular swap, but if I remember correctly maybe the reason mine didn't work was I used the 1 bbl choke rod on the Carter BBD. Been a while but I seem to remember something like that now that I think about it.
