Upon receiving several recommendations, I am ordering a set of Magnecor wires for my car. It is going to be a moderate build, estimated to be in the 160-170HP/230TQ range when done. I have the following parts on the shelf ready for installation:

Stock, recently rebuilt bottom end (.040 over) with a freshening up and honing of the cylinders
Two-row timing chain
Street-duty pocket ported head, 1.68/1.44 valves, shaved to get a DCR of about 8.1
Dutra Duals with SSD's exhaust system recommendation
Offy 4-bbl intake
Edelbrock AVS 500 carb
Moderate cam reground by Oregon Cam
Super Six dizzy recurved by DI (thanks!) with HEI upgrade

My question is, what size Magnecor wires would work best with this setup? They offer three sizes, in 7mm, 8mm, and KV85 8.5MM. I have no experience with wire size, I've always run whatever came from the local parts store. Does anyone have experience or advice to offer?

I installed 8mm Magnacore wires on my 67 about seven years ago, still like new, no electron leakage.
