I'm disassembling the engine, can't get oil pickup tube to turn, and suspect there is a bit of loctite involved. I'm afraid to get too aggressive and bend it.

Towel + vise grips/channel locks.

Wrap pickup tube in towel as close to black as possible, use pliers to get tube turning.

Use the hot wrench (torch) on the block where it screws in.

Use pipe wrench.

A bit of torch can help too.

If it breaks, you can grind a line inside the stub and pry out the remains. Done that... NPT will thread in and you can weld or maybe thread a piece onto the old pickup.

Pickup unthreaded with a little heat from yellow torch and small pipe wrench. It let go with a snap, then turned easily.

Loctite type products will melt at between 200-450 F, depending on which formulation, the red type being the 450 degree range. If you're afraid of using a torch for fear of getting it too hot, you can use a heat gun, but it takes more time (a lot of metal to heat). Most of us are impatient in such circumstances and reach for the torch. If your work area is otherwise clean, a clear sign is that the loctite will begin to smoke as you near the melting temperature (if there's oil residue/paint, those will smoke as well). If you have a laser IR thermometer you can monitor the area easily and watch the temperature.
