I’ve got a French friend who is piecing a Super Six together for his 73 Duster. Will his OEM cable work or will he need a longer/shorter cable?

I can't imagine why the factory cable would not work. The super six in my 79 Volare was the same one as on the regular slant six engine. Where you will find problems is finding the correct kick down linkage for the trans.

I told him his OEM throttle cable ought to work as he thinks the Super Six takes a different cable.
I believe he has everything except a “correct” throttle cable and a workingchoke setup. Thanks for chiming in!

My '72 Swinger uses the original throttle cable on a supersix setup. it just has a bit of a U shape to it. Works fine.

I'll loan this topic...
How about 65 Valiant with V8 pedal and super six? V8 cable is too long, will later a body cable fit?
