Had a similar issue with a Holley 2280. Removed the idle mixture screws, sprayed carb cleaner through the holes, re-installed screws. Start engine, spray carb cleaner down throttle body, then hold hand over top of throttle body until motor almost stalls, then remove hand and repeat. I guess it unplugged a blockage because now my 2280 is back to running great.
