1983 D-150 Slant Six 89K on the clock. I went to remove the distributor and the darn thing wouldn't come out.
I completely removed the hold down and still wouldn't pull out. As you pull it sounds like it's hitting a pin, any thoughts?

Second question, I've replaced the clutch on this vehicle recently and bought what the book called for which was a 11" flywheel and clutch set. To my surprise not the right size, I needed a 10 1/2", so I wound up having to cut the flywheel instead of a new one. It seemed my choice of 10 1/2" clutch sets was limited. Could I have used the 11"??

Thanks in advance

They can get crud built up on the stem of the distributor which makes it hard to pull out. Try lots of soaking with penetrating oil and/or carb cleaner and lots of twisting/pulling.

It has an overdrive, so my guess would be A833.

If you have the 833 OD then you will only have a 10" clutch max. There are not a lot of great options for that size clutch.

Interesting, would you point me in the direction of a flywheel and clutch set stronger then OEM?
