Going through some parts and got these out to measure them. I bought these in the 80's and they were old then. 60 over, advertised as 12 to 1. No rings. I didn't weigh them.

Those look nice.

My Dad has a set of Jahns pistons in a box still in the red cellophane... they have large dome on top and are advertised at 12:1.. they look cast , not forged or hypereutectic. Prolly from ~ late 60's or early 70's.

Your pistons look much more modern than those.

Sounds like your Dad had it going on.
Tell us about him, if you don't mind.

He Drag raced locally at 2 tracks in the Pittsburgh PA Area from ~1964-72. He never raced again, after that, that I know of. Especially after the collapse of the economy in 1982-83 and with the steel mills leaving the area and Massive layoffs he didn't really have play money any more.

He had a 64 Dart GT with slant six and factory a833. the car sits in it's morbid state now as it has since 72.

Supposedly the thing has (and still does have ) a mondello (yes that Joe Mondello of Oldsmobile fame) head on it(i guess he made or modified slant heads) webbers and other period goodies.
Lots of real clifford parts. Stock weight car ran Mid 14's I believe.

It's kind of a neat rusty, musty moldy time capsule.

Maybe if you are super Interested, I can get some pics and post.
Greg

I am pretty sure those are the same pistons (Jahns) that the Bruner clan used to put a few A-bodies into the 12s as far back as the late 80s.

Greg Thanks for posting those. Hot little Dart for sure.
I saw the Weiand in the trunk. What caught my eye was the Part Number.
I have a Weiand, but it only said WDP, no four.
Then I looked at the intake and mine has a four, either ground down or Weiand removed it.
Stuff like that interests me, why I don't know.
