Pulled the cylinder head off my car (63 Valiant) to get it refurbished included new valves, springs, etc. .. The cylinder walls and pistons look pretty good. I Was wondering if I can (or should) replace the lifters and pushrods while I have the head off.... without getting into the bottom of the engine. Ii know the pushrods come right out but not sure how to get the lifters out.

With solid lifters not much to worry about, unless you are also going with a new cam.
I'd probably at least clean up the pushrods, if none are bent should be good to go

If not changing the cam, I would just leave the lifters alone. If you do remove the lifters make sure they go back in on the same cam lobe as they came from.
Inspect the pushrod ends and rocker arm for ware. If worn replace the pushrod with a new one. If the rocker arm has excessive ware, or if the adjuster is too free to turn it should be replaced, but new ones are hard to find. However many slanters have some good used rockers in their stash.
PS: rocker arms for solid lifter valve trains, are different then the rockers for a hydraulic valve train.
