The Slant Six Shootout at North Wilkesboro went off without a hitch, except for rain Sat. night. It was rescheduled for Sunday and all cars were able to return but three. We had 15 cars Sat. A great turnout.
Thanks to all racers who came. Thanks to Danny Dunn of WRP, to Tim Harold of Empire Chrysler Dodge Jeep for sponsoring the race, to Advance Auto for the gift certificates and Ron Parkers sponsor for their bonus gift.
Rodney Hargus beat Lucus Bruner in the finals to take win. Ron Parker was the third place finisher.
Next stop Claycity Ky., Labor Day, Bobby Rogers puts on an excellent show and takes good care of us Slant Six racers, at the Mopar Muscle Southern Classic. See you there!

Just a note one week after Claycity is the Hays Chrysler Mopar Meet at Commerce Ga. I talked to Mike Hays, this week and he appreciates the good show the Slant Six guys put on also. He wants to see a lot of cars there. Lets try to turn out and support Mike. I believe we will be looking at a real good purse for his event too!
