I am planning on replacing the side windows in my Belvedere with Lexan type plastic. How well do these types of windows hold up to things like white shoe polish and window markers? I know it will scratch, I was just curious as to how long I can expect it to hold up before needing replacement.
I am only doing the side glass, but I am hoping to get at least a couple of seasons out of it.

Get a regular dial in marker and your lexan will last a lot longer. Shoe polish can be a bear to get off regular glass. The dial in markers I have will wipe off and not leave the "ghost" like shoe polish.

I always kept window cleaner for my previous cars. I used shoe polish but I had kept the regular glass for them. This will be my first car with lexan side windows. I figure it will scratch if I'm not careful. I have the special window markers, but a lot of tracks just use shoe polish.

Mine on my Barracuda held up real well, remember Lexan is harder than plex. And you can use a plastic polish to take minor scratches out. Lexan is used in helicopter windows and cared for properly they last for decades.
