I have the full synchro NP445/4530. Does anyone have an owner's or service manual with the fluid type and capacity? Searching the web it appears that SAE50 motor oil was used in the NP435, but I would like to double check that the NP445 uses the same fluid. The trans looks to hold a fair amount of fluid, but would like to put a number to that before I go shopping.

Thanks Greg, I didn't see that in my searching. SAE 50 motor oil is in the middle of the SAE90 gear oil viscosity range so I'm leaning toward a GL4 gear oil rather than motor oil. I can understand why, historically the recommendation would be for motor oil as sulfur-EP-based hypoid lube would corrode the synchronizers, but modern gear oils are generally passivated if they have sulfur and most GL4s don't have sulfur at all. If it doesn't hold too much I'll use Red Line MT90.
