Im looking for a replacement leather boot to cover my ball and trunion joint. I can’t seem to find them. Last week my old one came unlaced and was destroyed getting smacked around the underside on the body. Thanks

Dennys Driveshaft can build a new driveshaft that bolts to the flange on the back on the transmission and does away with the ball and trunion joint. The 64 dart I bought had one on it from the previous owners. Nice piece ... uses standard u joints.

Leather? No, that stopped in the late 1940s. On our cars the original boots were rubber. You can get replacement boots from Andy Bernbaum (his № Q-102). The driveshaft conversion to eliminate the B&T front joint is described here in detail, and is a fine idea.

I know it’s not original, it was put on after the fact, I am going to get a new driveshaft, I was waiting for the fall to go to work on it with my other upgrades I have planned. just wanted to make it live for the summer. I was told driveshaft and tranny shops used them , but can’t seem to find one.
