Went down this morning and played with the car some to see if I can get it to leave the starting line better. After that I changed oil and trans fluid in the old Dakota, then loaded the car up.

My friends Bill and Mary Hoft met me at the track with their turbo PT.

Conditions were spectacular. 100*, 50% humidity, 10 mph cross wind, and barometer at 31.30 with clouds rolling in.

Car seems a little better, but is still a slug for the first 50 feet or so. Bill was wailing me off the starting line, but it went downhill for him shortly thereafter.

Best pass of the day was a 14:34. Best MPH was 97.7. Bill was running 15:30's @ 88.

I was shifting at 6600 today.

Bill says the car is incredibly loud going by.

Car went back on the trailer under it's own power with no rattles, and nothing running out of it. :D :D :D :D :D

Sounds good, Dennis. Did you get a look at the tach off the line to see the stall speed? 14.34 is cookin' at 100* temp!

Lou

No tach in the car Lou, shift light only.

I did try stalling it on the return road with a 3600 chip in the light, it wouldn't turn the light on.

Still having some brake issues too. Car would creep when I was stalling it up.

I have some more ideas, but it was so miserably hot and a thunderstorm moving in, we just loaded up and came home.

There were only a dozen cars total there, could have made 100 runs if we wanted to.

One of the track workers was making passes in a Tahoe with a utility trailer hooked to it.
