I figure it's the float
any advice appreciated if some other possibilities of the Symptoms
The deal
Truck run's perfect
then classic runs out of fuel
will not restart acts as if out of fuel
But
If I pour a shot glass size of fuel down carb
it will start and off I go like all is perfect once more
yesterday I drove 80 miles and had to prime carb 5 times
when it occurs there is no point being stubborn about it and cranking it
Just prime it or let REST a wile
I did change fuel filter disconnected fuel pump and wile only did visual
seemed to be putting out fuel .
Fuel pump is $20 so I'd be willing to just give it a blind try
But I figure Float is getting stuck in full position
Just don't under stand how priming it would undo that situation
Maybe a fuel pump issue ?

I was able to theorize it was the needle valve jamming up facilitated after float is in full fill
the priming and strong forced restart caused the needle valve to reopen
I went to Wallmart picked up a bottle of chemtool fuel cleaner for $4
Then theorized lubrication would help so also poured in a full quart of Marvel M Oil
on a low Tank ,
It ran really crappy on the mix
But noticed it was not stalling out
So I drove it in Crap mode for a 1/2 hour then filled up tank
Spark plugs were old so put in a fresh set also
I've used truck about 60 miles and seems to be fixed
Probably needs a carb rebuild but for now runs well
