Kind of like this. I could live with 3 relays but would like 4 relays. 6 would be great for future headlight relaying.
In the link there is only relays. The best setup would be 4-6 relays in a row and 4-6 ATC type fuses right next to them to protect each circuit. My plan would be to mount in engine compartment so a little cover over thefuses would be nice. Am I asking alot.
I don't mind providing my own wire.
I can't believe that they sell anything at those prices.

Good gravy. Those are way overpriced.

For reference, I keep 30A (continuous) / 40A (peak load) Bosch-Tyco relays in stock in my US warehouse, in two flavours: SPST (normally open) and SPDT (changeover). One relay + one relay bracket/terminal block as shown in the links + 5 AMP terminals = $13. The bracket/blocks snap-lock together to create tidy relay banks (as shown in link) of as many relays as you want, now and/or later. You supply your own wire (your choice of colour, length, and gauge).

It's not a good idea to have the fuse right next to the relay. It's convenient and looks slick, but it leaves the whole length of the main feed wire unprotected. Much better to have the circuit protection right at the power takeoff.

Yup, I see it...can't answer it 'cause we're down in Hamilton, shoveling out my mother-in-law's house (she just moved to assisted living and she and her husband were bigtime junk collectors). We're cadging our connection off some neighbour's wireless network, and it's not consistent enough for my shell-account mail to stay connected. Will get to it ASAP.

Myeh...this is just somebody's unsecured wireless router — it's not like stealing cable TV or hacking into the internet service provider. If whatever neighbour owns this WiFi router doesn't want anyone else to use it, it takes about three mouse clicks to restrict access to particular computers or users only.

go to the junkyard and look under the hood of a ford aerostar. i can't remember which years but they had a nice little relay box with four relays on the left fender. get about six inches of the wiring to use for pigtails. it has 18 and 16 gauge wire in it. then get another one from another van to get enough connectors to use all the relays. the connectors can be popped out with a very small flathead screwdriver.

Pepboys has a four-circuit fuse block for about 5 bucks. give that a try. i use one for the high beams, low beams, and electric fan. works great.

It's been there as far back as I can remember.

1) 16ga wire is not thick enough to be worth messing with when trying to bring full power to headlamps or other high-current devices.

2) Ford + electrical systems = trouble.

maybe its 16 and 14, i can't remember, but its the same size as whats in my car. also, i am not using ford electrical systems. only parts of it. i mounted the relay box next to the battery so power only has a short distance to go for the headlights and the fan
