Posted this in transmisssion and rearend but got no replies

I’ve never had the switch on my truck for the 3 years I owned it. Wondering how to hook it up, The truck was converted from manual to an auto before i got it. i noted there was a type of switch because there is a plug well two. One has one red and one black on a plug and another separate green wire plug. Do i splice the 3 wires and connect them to the backup light neutral safety switch?
