So, I'm assembling all of the parts now per the various threads (will post pic before install).

But I notice the ballast resistor has 2 terminals on each side.

Do both get hooked together?

Thanks

Also a bit confused about hooking up FD478 coil. If I go from positive on the coil to B on module...where do I bring the 12 volts in to the coil?

Thanks

I'm really wanting/needing to get the retrofit installed. I have read what I can, and looked at all of the posts...Does anyone have a recommendation how to hook up the FD-478 coil, as it only has 2 terminals. Also, what do I do about a 4 terminal ballast resistor.

So many slant 6 gurus out there...

While I did have two of these growing up, I haven't worked on one in 40 years.

I'm trying to get this baby into peak performance.

Thanks

Here is mine on my race car.

Blue wire comes from the +12V from your old ballast resistor or 12 Volt source. This hooks up to the original red wire on the coil plug. I soldered a second wire on the that terminal and ran it on over to the HEI module. Then the Green wires. One runs back into my Tachometer and the other goes to the HEI module. Ignore the yellow wires they are just for the low oil pressure cutoff which you don't have. Hope that helps.

Rick

Easiest way on the ballast resistor is just tie all four together.
