Looks cool, Matt. Hope you can cruise it to Bonneville for Speed Week this coming August. There will be a Slant 6 setting records (fingers crossed) on the Salt. The "car show" in Wendover during the eves is perfect for that kind of ride.

Lou

I think he ended up converting to a small block, like, 408 maybe? Still supercharged. And maybe he sold off the setup for this? It think I remember that in the for sale section...

Ho Matt, I just saw this on here. I have been working on a eaton from a gm 3.8 for my slant. How did you get the blower to sit flat with the crank? ie: the intake manifold carb mounting pad is slanted downhill. I have dummied mine up using a angle sanded plywood spacer, and have the pullies figured out. I cut a piece of aluminum plate to mount the blower, and a 2x6 piece of aluminum rectangular tubing plugged at ends to adapt discharge to intake offset. Intersting seeing yours up and going! Mine is going on my 79 d100 shorty.
Thanks!
Bill

Great job by the way!

This was something i was trying to figure out as well .
I thought if i used a wedge that when it came time to bolt it down the adapter would be at an angle to the bolts or studs.
I thought about machining the carby pad to the right angle (down at the rear ) but then same thing as above and my adapter plate would foul on the imlets.
I have mocked up a bottom plate that i am going to get welded to my 2 barrel inlet manifold if i can find someone who is willing to have a go at it.
As soon as i say it's a cast iron inlet manifold they seem to shy away from it .You can see in the photo the angle that is needed for the pulleys to run true.

I would be interested to see what you or anyone else has come up with .

when I welded my intake I found 7018 rods worked as well as the proper cast rod, just heat and slow cool with a propane cylinder torch. Image Image

This is what i have come up with to save getting my manifold welded .
The angle turned out to be spot on .

It will be made out of metal in 2 pieces then welded together and bolted down .
