Hey guys I'd like opinions on sizing a turbo for a slant 6 75 dodge w100 paisa wagon club cab short box, It's gonna be stock internals, 4 barrel intake, holley 500cfm 2 barrel carb converted over to draw through, and 33" tires with 3.55 gears planning on going 4.10's later down the road. I have no idea on sizing this beast of a truck. My old man tells me a turbo and wastegate from a late 80's Buick GN 3.8 will be ideal. But I'd like other opinions before I grenade and blow my ass sky high.

This is a huge can of worms. Simplicity is very important so that you get something to work well and without too much delay.

I agree that the GN 3.8L turbo with integral wastegate is a good size for this engine and will work with a minimum of custom piping and plumbing. So, it will not make the most power, but it will make a very good amount of power and be simple to install relative to most turbo setups.

Does that sound reasonable?

Best,
Lou

Yes, sir it does thank you. How about T3/T4? I am probably better off finding one in the junk yard/ Craigslist so I can get the exhaust manifold mounting plate than looking through eBay, right?

Go on Turbobuick.com and I think there are other similar sites. There you can likely buy a takeoff GN unit. Flanges to weld onto exh (or thicker) pipe (U or J pipe) and bolt to the stock exh manifold can be had by many CNC places. Get thick flanges (3/8 - 1/2") made from mild steel unless you know someone who knows how to weld stainless properly. I think GN is T4, but I can't recall. Online you can find that info.
