Hey gang, I picked up a 3.8 Buick GN turbo with internal wastegate. I am thinking of using a U or J exhaust elbow to marry together. My question is, What size pipe should in use for in between the exhaust manifold and turbo flange? Then what size exhaust out from turbo? This is for my 75 dodge club cab short box power wagon turbo slant six project.

I would use 2.5" from exh man to turbo, and 2.5" or even 3" from turbo out.

Even if 2.5" is bigger than the stock manifold, it will create some drop in restriction. And, more open the flow in the downstream exhaust system, the more power from a turbo system.
