Pulled most of the electrical wiring last night. Today the hookups begin.

Found some black mold in one wall... :(

The saga continues (and the Turismo is still waiting...)

Rob, Our house was built during World War II. The rafter and joists are rough cut popular. Sheathing - recycled 1x6. Walls are clay tile baked locally - (clay blocks) - plastered on the inside. We stuccoed the exterior. I admire your home improvment efforts. I have been architect and general contractor as well as diy guy. I know more about this than the slant thing. In my next life I may own a condo - except I would prolly piss of the neighbors and get kick out of the assoc.

The basement floor is poured. Still plenty to do on the bathroom part. Electrical is mostly done.

Turismo 225 / Slant 6 content: When Gerald gets done with the head and tranny for the Street Duster I will plan a trip back down to Georgia to pick them up and will probably grab the Turismo while I'm there.

So, here's the latest...

The basement is as done as it's gonna get until after Spring Break. We're heading to Williamsburg, VA and will probably hit Bush Gardens and Virginia Beach if the weather allows...

Then the plan is to head down to Maynardville, TN on the 16th to celebrate Gary Bruner's 60th Birthday! :D

Turismo 225 / Slant 6 content:

Gerald has the head and tranny for Street Duster ready to pick up in Ball Ground, GA. That just happens to be about an hour from Chatsworth, GA where the Turismo is located. And THAT just happens to be only 20 minutes from Dalton, GA where Norm Foster lives! :D

So,.... I'm going to pick up where I left off the last time I tried this and got stuck in that huge snow storm!

I'll go to Maynardville on Saturday and spend a few hours there.
Then I'll go down to Ball Ground Saturday night and pick up the head and tranny.
I'll get up early Sunday morning and head over to Chatsworth to pick up the Turismo and then swing by Norm's to finalize the deal on buying his Challenger. I can't haul two cars, so the Challenger will stay there until the next trip.
After some visiting with Norm and Elaine I'll tow back over to Maynardville to drop off the Turismo and pick up GodsRods Duster II before heading back home to E-town...

Sound like fun? Anyone up for a Road Trip? Wayne/John/Kenny/Dennis....?

Rob, you are a dynamo...

You're buying Norm's Challenger too?? You're gonna need quite a few drivers.

Long may you ride,

Lou

Rob, congratulations on the challenger. That should be a fun car I wanted it but just no way to buy it with everything else that's going on.

I wouldlove to take the road trip but I have so much going on here I better hang around I guess.

Since your doing another road trip anyway, you might as well just pick up Norm's Challenger and shoot straight North on the way home and race it for 2 days with us at Mason Dixon in May. You can just say it is a slight detour on the way back home!

Aw shucks. I was just seein' if you guys were payin' attention!

I haven't made any deal with Norm (yet  )

We've talked about it for quite some time and again just the other day. It's no secret I've wanted to buy it for a long time, but timings just haven't worked out.

We WILL be talking about it when I go visit him and I'm still hoping we can work something out.

He's pretty sure it has spun a bearing Rick, so just like every other car I own... It ain't runnin' neither!

If we are able to come up with some sort of deal I will be selling at least one of the Dusters, if not both. Probably as rollers. I need to build back up my Slant 6 inventory if I want to "Slant the World!" :D

I'll also be posting up the truck for sale as soon as I figure out the HEI set up.

Ya gotta keep things lively and interesting or you just get bored with life! :D :D

I called Joel and he'll have the Turismo and pile of parts ready for me to pick up this weekend.

Spring Break in VA was very relaxing. We had great weather for Busch Gardens (we got in free thanks to their military appreciation deal!)

Our day at the beach was great too. Perfect weather.

The basement is just waiting for me to go buy the sheetrock. I was going to get some this weekend, but my pick 'em up bed trailer is filled with a big load for the dump from cleaning up the land at the garage.

Who would have thought that the county landfill would close at noon on a Saturday! Yeah I drove all the way out there at right around 2 pm...

I finally picked up Turismo 225. It really wasn't all that bad from sitting out in the weather for 7 years. Joel had all the parts sitting there waiting for me as promised. And it only took us about 30 minutes to get it all loaded up and ready to roll!

I took it up to the Bruner's place for now.

Meril as I drove up with it on the trailer: "Did anybody get hurt in that wreck?"

I actually thought to snap a couple pictures this time. I'll try to post them later tonight (if I can find the cord for Chase's camera...  )
