With the stock 198 the car was running 20-21 in the 1/4. Tried of everyone laughing I bought a 73 duster that had a 225 from my buddy. My dad and I rebuilt the motor (we are not very motor knowledgeable) and the cars best time is 16.48 on a slipping trans. Now no one believes it a slant.
We bored it .030 over, put on a Clifford 4 barrel intake, a 6 into 1 header, 525 Demon Jr carb, 3.55 gears. I planed on running the car at Mopar Nationals at Columbus this past weekend, but do to carburetor issues I let the car sit for everyone to look at.

Thats not a bad time considering rear end ratios and trans issues.

Did you change the cam too?
