How's it going. I am new to this forum (first post and first thread) so I figured I would start out by letting you know what my Dart will do. It is an all metal Dart will all the original glass. The interior has been stripped completely except for the dash. I Run a 904 Trans, 3500 stall and a 4.30 gear. I turn the car @ 5500 RPM.

60' 1.914, ET 9.05 @ 73.40 MPH.

I purchased the car this year. I have always been a big fan of the slant 6 and I thought it was neat to see a race car with one. Over the winter I am gonna replace the trunk lid with a fiberglass lift off replacement. I'm also gonna remove all the original glass and replace it with lexan. I am currently working on a new motor for the car and my goal is to get the Dart into the 7 second range.

I live in Eastern NC, about 40 miles east of Greenville, NC.

If I did not have plans already I would head on over to Bristol.

I appreciate the welcome.

Nah, I'm just an Internet know-it-all with a reasonably fast Slant car.

That Dart looks familiar. Is that Charles Meyer' old car? :?

That's gotta be Charles' old car. Nicely put together machine.

There are a few people running in the 7s naturally aspirated. Possum Ron Parker often runs high 7s with his lightened 69 Dart.

Welcome to the site and have fun!

Lou

 well, I appreciate all the help.

Could be. I bought it from a gentleman named Larry Whitely. Larry owned it, sold it to someone (could be Charles Meyer) and then bought it back. Then I bought it from Larry and I am keeping it.

I live about 20 miles from Winterville and if I am not mistaken, Charles lives in Winterville?

He doesn't post here, but very friendly guy. Very busy with his two boyz Jr. Dragster efforts last few years. He has the honor of the first 9 second pass in a Slant doorslammer - 9.93 @ about 130. I'm sure he'd love to talk to you.

Lou
