I did make it out yesterday to the last race Mason Dixon had for this year. Weather was cool at @55-58 an I was anxious to see what the car would do in that air. Had to sign up in pro and we only got 1 time run and then off to the races. There was 105 cars in Pro! On my time run I could feel the car spin just a bit and it ran a 8.35 (All 1/8th mile today) and was off a little on its 60' time. I went to the truck and looked back at what my MPH should have produced. It looked like a 8.28 was a pretty good guess. In the 1st rd I did a little longer burnout and hoped for the best. Hit the throttle and it felt good, and I didn't have a red light! :D I ran .019 off my dial in and at the line I could not tell who won till I saw his green light. Yep he ran .018 off his dial, and just nipped me at the line. All in all a good day. Never saw my A/F gauge in either run. I think as of now it is just extra weight! :D I may as well take it out or mount it on the tail light. :D :D

Yep, lots of fun! And another 200+ car count for the track was really good too!

I think over the winter I may try and get a little more weight out; another 50-60# or so.

Hopefully next year will be a good year for us all. :D

New stuff came for Christmas and also was able to get the Aluminum struts through Lou and from Mark Charapich. Thanks Lou! :D I don't know that I will save that much weight, but it should free up the front end movement a lot!

One side down, one to go! Really nice movement and not binding. I am also not 100% sure my shocks were set to 90/10. but they are now. :D

They are from Reilly Motor Sports.

They are slighltly lighter than the factory arms and the aluminum struts are a little lighter also. I think it is about 3.6# total. I'll take it! :D

I did find my idler arm is junk. So I'll get that ordered and installed this week. Then off to the alignment shop. Ready to run T&T by March 20th! :D :D

That's kind of what I was thinking from the look in the pictures. Light is good too!

I just ordered 2 sets from him.

When I rebuilt the k frame on Ruster I could never get the alignment right... so these pieces should be able to compensate for my maladies.

Just unloaded the race car, and pulled it into the garage. New RMS tubular control arms and aluminum struts made a front end alignment necessary. Guys at the shop were pretty impressed when they opened the hood.

Then after about 2 months waiting the new trunk lids, one for me and one for Lou, finally arrived. They left Illinois on a 500 mile journey and it took them 15 days to go that far. :D :D They were lost for about 5 days and then went to the wrong state, and then finally came back to Pa and arrived safe and sound. :D :D

Glasstek is the company that made them and they had excellent communication with me through out the whole shipping mess. They were really great to work with. I'm sure Covid played a part in shipping the delays too.

Feels really light. Off to the garage with the bathroom scales. - Report in a few minutes!! :D

Old trunk lid weighs 35.0# brackets and lift cylinders are about 4# for a total of @ 39#. New deck lid weighs in a 10.2# for a loss of about 29# :D Of course if Robbie sees it he'll want to paint it before I race it! That will add a couple pounds! :D
