Sounds like you were loosing some ET. with all that going on in the tranny.

Hi guys, the local track had a Mopar event this weekend. Got to make some passes with poor barometric pressure and hot temperatures, However the humidity was nice and low; under 40% all day!

Ron, I suspect your statement is correct about my mis-adjusted band debacle. Now with both bands adjusted correctly it seemed just as fast as 1 month ago with far worse air conditions.
The car ran solid 11.80s in the heat. Also set a personal best 1/8th mile time of 7.43.. now within .10 of the 1/8th mile B/Gas record.

With this (PTC) converter also ran 1.61-1.60 60' times every pass.

I suspect it's possible to get into the 11.60's or 11.50's in good air such as fall Clay City, Mason Dixon, or MIR at Budds Creek Maryland

Hope to see many of you at Bristol Next Weekend!

Greg

Thanks Romeo, Weather was great - Wall to wall Sunshine, heat and low humidity.

Yes Mopar event along with some others as well.

Not nearly as big as in past when It was in conjunction with a points series. I was only there Saturday, but I suspect Friday and Sunday were lighter on cars.

Super low car count.

Not a full house. Hardly anyone from Ohio was there that I could tell.

Thanks,I will pass the info along to the MATS Promoter. He too has opened up the show to all muscle cars this year.We got a few brand x but still 90% a Mopar show.Turn out was good. Very hard to keep the shows alive as cost factor increase every year for both the promoter and the participant.

I was not able to Make it to Clay City This week due to Work requirements, and by the reports of the racers that did go that maybe worked in my favor...

So My local track had a nostalgia event last weekend.. I was only able to attend one day due to work, and I heard that they were having problems of their own on Saturday with the timing and Christmas tree such that they ended at 2:30 am.. And then finished the Final rounds of racing on Sunday morning.

I made 3 passes and the air was above 30.30 on my barometer with mid 60's to mid 70's temperature and humidity below 50% which was great!

Run 1: off trailer is a throw away... and the Megasquirt was breaking up a bit over 5000 RPM.
11.97@109.22 MPH
I got the Miss Taken Care of and then Got 2 more runs.
Run 2:
1.60 60' - Only .01 off my Personal best 60' time
7.390 @ 91.22 - Personal Best 1/8 Mile Yet - Not MPH, But E.T.
11.74 @ 111.77 - Only .02 Off my Personal Best 1/4 Mile E.T. - Not MPH

Run 3:
Round 1 Eliminations:
11.77 @ 111.55 - Lost by .0005 on an 11.70 Dial

Good Day even though I lost That round - I could have been a bit keener on the light or Really Stayed in it more ....
woulda.....coulda......shoulda......

Looking forward to fall Mason Dixon!

Greg

Set Many New Personal Bests.

Some Runs had the Mysterious ignition Breakup at the top of first gear... but All in all I am happy!
Great weather and Conditions have the car picking up over a tenth from the spring!

Best 60'
Best 1/8 ET and MPH,
Best 1/4 ET.
Video tells the tale:
https://youtu.be/Dzk58xKIcp8
I even won some Rounds also.

Congrats to Points leaders for 2016:
Rodney, Ron and Ryan!

Nice runs Greg. What was your best 60'? What happened the fuel injection? Looks like a beautiful day for racing.

I have to Refer Back to the Spreadsheet, But I think I got a 1.55 on the Last Pass.

Nothing Wrong with fuel - I still run a 750 CFM Carter Carb,

The Trigger wheel hall sensor sometimes has noise which causes errors in the MS3Box... It is only happening at the top if 1st gear, above 6200 RPM Probably just a noise filter issue, But I am hesitant to chance the setting too much too fast.

Great Day for Maryland Valley Racing!
