We got our two time trials and were about to be called for first round when there was an oil down that took a loooong time to clean up. Then there was a power outage, so they called things off. Duster ran 9.03. I even cut a .002 light on the second time trial. I had the bye first round... ☹️ Hopefully we will get to make these up later. |

So, there I was... three wheels into a brake job on my truck about 9:15 last night... and I get a text from Norm Foster with a picture of a time slip from Brainerd... It would seem that Norm has started using that bottle of nitrous he was showing off at Wilkesboro... Now I have no choice but to try for that open B/N record at Clay City. I was hoping to wait until later in the year so as not to risk blowing up the only car that runs. There is no way the Duster will run close to the number Norm sent me without a lot of nitrous and probably broken parts! I’m going to shift gears and work on the Duster a little. The Challenger may likely not make Clay City... Isn’t this competition exciting this year!?

I was (am) really hoping to have three cars there and to have the Challenger make its debut at Clay City. If I weren’t actually in the running for the Championship it wouldn’t matter as much, but this will likely never happen again, so I gotta do what I gotta do. I pulled the Duster in the garage for the install, but then family priorities took over. Hopefully soon. |

Forget about the nitrous and concentrate on going rounds. You're already driving yourself batshit crazy. Soon Ron Hamby will be doing hideous things to you in your dreams like Freddy Kreuger. Relax, breathe, win rounds, let the chips fall where they may.
