My older set is going to Greg.

Your set may end up in my Duster.

Or your garage.

Gas mileage with this new 390 ain't makin' Momma none too happy... :(

I promised mid teens with this car (same as her 03 Suburban), but we're fallin' just a tad (tad = 1/2 ! ) short of that...

I put the 8 1/4 and a "severely lightened" K frame in the Street/Ruster/ChumpCar Duster so I can move it around. No telling when/if I'll get around to replacing the front framerails.

Next time I'm over there I'll put the rest of the front supsension in it.

I may be making some progress on this thing sooner than I though!

I met a fabricator yesterday and spent the day with him at a car show today...

He said it would be quicker, easier and better for him to re-stub it with new 2X3 schtuff.

We also started putting a plan together for a H.A.M.B.ster...

("Here goes Rob again...." :P  )

The "Street/Ruster/ChumpCar Duster" may get renamed the "Bulldog Racing Duster"...

We are going to have to do a family intervention on you soon if you don't straighten up.

I get the feeling you are running around like a hampster, and don't need a HAMB car. Concentrate, Focus ...etc   Please, help us to help you!!! Your wife has got to be a saint!!

Rick

My new fabricator buddy came over and looked at the Duster this evening.

We can either use the front frame rails I have from the parts Duster or use new 2X3 schtuff.

We'll run a tube under the dash and run front bars from that to the framerails and do away with the inner fenders.

Hopefully I'll take it over to his shop in the next couple weeks for the surgery.

No immediate intervention required.

I'm ALWAYS running around like a hamster. I wouldn't know what to do if I wasn't...

GodsRods Duster II is the focus right now.

The ChumpCar Duster will happen as time and resources allow. This is just a good opportunity to get it saved and either put back together or sold to fund other things. If Lou hadn't dissed me I wouldn't be so set on keeping it! :P

Duster III will probably remain in the garage for now. I really don't want to put it outside unless I have to. We may put a little effort into it from time to time, but it's a long term project just like it was for Dennis.

The Challenger will start getting some focused attention as soon as I'm comfortable that GodsRods Duster II is ready and doesn't need all of the attention.

Have I missed any..? :?

Oh yeah!

Turismo 225 is still down there at the bottom of the hill... Andrew mowed around it again yesterday...

And that HA.M.B.ster thing is just another one of my pipe dreams that may or may not ever happen. If parts materialize and my new fabricator friend is feeling froggy, we may melt some metal together on it... Ya just never know...

Doc's Valiant wagon is the other one I need to figure out. I would love to fly out and drive it back on another cross country adventure, but he isn't all that confident about that idea since it's been sitting so long and only started occasionally. Maybe I should just throw caution to the wind and go for it! Hey Doc! We need to start planning... again...!

Since I'm at this again... I might as well list 'em all...

My '56 Dodge truck is safe at my niece's place in Willcox, AZ... Someday (maybe when I retire) I'd like to put it on a Dakota frame or something and use it as the Slant 6 tow rig...

And,.... My friend Geoff Pine in Australia is still keeping his eyes open for a Ute for me. :D That would pretty much complete my "Bucket List" of cars I'd like to have before I die.

Typing these pipe dreams only takes a few minutes and doesn't cost anything. It also keeps me entertained and out of trouble (for the most part  )

Or,... I could just have a big "Getting out of Slant 6's" sale...

I'll list some things up shortly...

I got the Street/Ruster/ChumpCar Duster off the blocks and strapped to the tow dolly the other day in preparation to take it over for the front framerail surgery... Or to the metal recycler...

I hope I don't need the dolly before then...

Metal recycler it is... :(

I'll scavenge a few more parts and be done with it.
