Need Bell Zbar and shifter for a 833 swap into my 76 D100. It is currently a 3 speed with low mount starter.

I will have to look in my transmission parts bin, but I think I have a 1981 Dodge Truck A-833OD Z-bar in there... I will look tomorrow and let you know.

The Hurst style shifter is going to be an $$$ item, I don't see them much anymore.

Is the truck Competition Plus body different than the cars?

Don't know for a pick-up, my 4 speed system came from a van and there was a bracket or plate to mount the shifter higher...

Rick, I'm not sure on the truck comp shifter.

On trucks there is a plate that sets the shifter back a few inches from the front mounting pad on the long tailshaft truck transmission (similar to
B/E body transmissions, rear pad not drilled on the late A-833OD ).

Somewhere I used to have that plate...but can't find it... it's not in my transmission parts bin. But I do have the long tailshaft housing from an A-833OD truck transmission...LOL...

DirtyD100 send me a PM with your e-mail, I have the truck Z-bar and it still has the body side bracket and ballstud (with spring clip retainer and used ballstud pivot)... I don't have a way to post pics here at the moment, so I can e-mail them to you.

That is only for the Van shifter, the truck version is a single plate at that attaching point in the picture and puts the shifter back along the tailshaft a few more inches. FYI.
