What's the chamber volume? And are those stock valve springs?

There's a shop I wanted to send my head to on the west coast, it's called Mopar Engines West. I might consider buying this if you could deliver it to them to do some work, mostly decking it and porting, then they could ship it to me when they're done. I'd be out $250 in freight if I had to ship my head to them anyway. Would you consider doing that?

This head is from Sierra College Rocklin California. I was one of the last students to pass the program. Bob Lobdall and Alex Wong saw the head and were impressed. If anything you can disassemble and port but I think it’s good as it is stock with the ford valves and new exhaust valves / seats. Mopar Engines West is good if you want a Re-Man head. Pm or text and I’ll send you the specs.

They are stock CCs -.007” just to make the surface flat ( probably .-005” or .-006”). The springs all tested OK within stock so no need to modify unless you’re boosting.

Springs are 49-57 lb @ 1 11/16”. 1.687”
Guides are new .565” knurled
Valve guide clearance is > .002”

Good for new gas

Seat Contact: Intake .050” - .060”
Seat Contact: Exhaust .070” - .080”

I would use this head if I wasn’t daily driving my ‘71 rn

This is a very good deal. I paid more than this back in the late 90s to have a shop build me a head with Ford 300 valves. If I didn't already have a couple freshly rebuilt heads in my garage I would be very interested in this one.

Yeah I don’t really want to sell it but I’m too busy with school and some Ford stuff so, somebody can get a good deal if they find this before I overhaul my Valiant. I’d prefer to deal locally.

I am interested. I have a '63 head from a 225 I could ship back to you if we can negotiate on the price.

Hi, I am in need of a cylinder head for my 81 Dodge D150 slant 6. Let me know if this one is still up for sale.

bbtsassa, This head may not be a direct bolt on for your engine. If the head is 1980 or older, it will bolt on to your 1981 engine, but the valve cover is different, and some minor valve train changes may be required.
