Hey guys I need to get a harmonic balancer bolt for my 66 / with a 170cid. Anyone know what the head size is on that puppy?

I want to limit all the different tools I have to hump in to the boneyard this week :)

You can buy one at the hardware store. 3/4" fine thread 1-1/4" long.

Head size should be 1-1/8".

As you'll find, Slants usually didn't come with a bolt to hold the ballancer. in place. It is a press fit. One can be added, I'm sure someone else will give the specs on size, thread pitch and length. I don't remember off hand.

Ahhh, Haaaa! That may explain the absence of the bolt on my car

Thank you,

good thing I hav a 1-1/8 socket too. I guess I'll go ahead and put one on anyhow if it wasn't any big dea.
