I have a 65 225 and a mid 70's 225, which block would be better for a turbo?

They will both work fine, but if the 70s one is forged crank, then that one will be slightly stronger.

How can I tell if its a forged crank? I really dont want to tear it apart to find out though... and thank you.

Depending on what you're putting it in, the register on the cranks are different sizes too.

The cast crank came mid 1976. There should be a stamping on the pad under the alternator bracket that will give you the year.
