And after rereading all that...its painfully obvious, that I haven't had near enough sleep in days...goodnight...

It's going to be a really tight schedule but I will definitely try to do that. I really want to get a look at what you've done. --David

Sorry Guys:

Didn't mean to dissappear again, but the extra two weeks it took to deal with the installation issues have put my self employed butt in the poor house.

I have been extremely busy trying to make a buck and pay the bills I ignored while putting my car back together.

The good news is that after putting a 1000 miles or so on the old Valiant 200 post...it still handles great and I need more horsepower...the faster I go, the better it tucks into the turns!!!

It does need sway bars...but none-the-less is great the way it is...

I have many pictures yet to describe what I have done, but my mortgage is more important as I'm sure you'll understand!

I triple checked my gear ratio and it is 2.94...not the 3.23 I thought I had. Which is fine, since I have a 3.23 carrier in the shed.

I set a new fast time in the 1/4 at a whopping 17.30 seconds. Not great...but not bad for a 400,000 mile old 1 brrl engine with a two barrel and headers. There is more in it because I've had 2 tenths better sixty foot when my clutch was happy...which its not anymore!!!!

I have been working on some of my electronic stuff...but mostly just trying not to lose my home while playing with toys!

Karl, I intended to call you while I was up in Portland but simply ran out of time, as I was afraid I would. I'll be up there again, probably next spring, I'll make a point to do it then if you're still in the area. I know you are very busy but if you have the time at some point it might be useful to pull all this information together into an article. I think it could be very useful and instructional. Do you have any plans to reproduce your parts for resale? You aren't likely to get rich but you could make a few A-body tinkerers very happy.
When I get mine running and driveable I intend to take it on a road trip to the Northwest, but that's likely to be a year or more.

Resurrecting this thread because I found it intriguing.

Karl, have you been able to recover from your financial troubles and do any more work on this project? I LOVED following your work in this thread and my goal with my '74 Duster is to get it to handle and ride the best I can get it. If you're able to get all this into a kit form, I'll definately jump for it.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread Jopapa. Being new here I had never read this thread before. I saw it and started reading it while it was slow here at work. Not that I really know much about suspensions and whatnot, but I enjoy learning. Thing is, I started reading and then poof it ended. It was almost like watching an interesting movie and then the cable goes out. Karl, even though this was first posted a ways back, I hope you are able to continue this project. -Dan

I hear ya guys. I'll find some time in the next day or two to post the remaining pictures and descriptions of the results of my endeavers. I still have little time due to work and other annoying things.

That said, the pictures are already in the computer , so the hard work is done, and it is about time I posted the rest.

Thanks for the interest,

Karl
