My '74 Duster has the manual disc brakes. The rears are prematurely locking up. I just want to be sure which wheel cylinders I need for the rear, to prevent the early lock up of the rear wheels.
The car is a 198/auto combo with manual disc brakes and has the 7 1/4" rear axle.
As I sift through with "search" I am a little confused as to what size wheel cylinders I need, 13/16" or 3/4"?

Assuming the braking system has no problems from the standpoint of needing service and everything is working as it should albeit with this early rear lock up.
Can I just replace the front calipers to the larger 2.75" bore type and leave the stock 15/16" rear cylinders in place? will/should this also remedy the early rear lock up?

I can't answer that question for you, but based on my experience with my '73 Dart, I would take both steps at the same time. Wheel cylinders are cheap and easy to change, you're already going to have to brake hydraulics opened up (good opportunity to flush and change the fluid) and the result with 2.75" calipers up front and 13/16" cylinders in back is a really nice system that's hard to lock up.
