Frank,

Yes I did get the Shifter issue Taken care of.. I bought a shifter at the swap meet on saturday and got it all put in tuesday.. It was a little too Short and I ended up swapping all the shift fingers from the swap meet find into my old shifter housing..

Works fine so far and YAY reverse again.

I really should take it to the track and see what it will do once I get the 3.23's in there again.

Greg

Wow that is great mileage! How much horsepower does it make to run 14:66 with the 4:10s? Are you out of rpm's at the stripe?
Thanks Derek

At the stripe it' pulls 5000 to 5200RPM's

Not out of RPMS yet. 5800 Is About ax effective RPM Range.

It's been quite a while since I have posted anything about the dart here, mainly because the "RUSTER RACER"Project has taken over as the primary race car of mine and the '69 Dart Swinger is more of a show car now.

Anyway, I still have to get the dart back to the dragstrip with the 3.23's for some baseline runs with those gears in there. I hope to do that in 2011.

I just thought I would share a bit of the life of this retired Slant 6 racer that Never won any races but did have a few good round wins and runner'd up a few times.= tons of fun!!!!!

I took the Dart on a 10 day vacation over the summer to Dearborn MI, (Ford Museum, Greenfield Village, and the Ford Rouge Plant) Auburn Hills, Woodward Avenue, and also up to Mackinac Bridge, St. Ignace area.

Over the 10 Days I logged over 2100 Miles~ 24 MPG average.

On July 7th I met up with Tom(shaker223) at the Walter P Chrysler Museum. The museum has some summer cruise Nites every 2 weeks. It just so happened they had one when I was in town so I went. It was a very nice show and I had the chance to chat with some of the retired Chrysler Engineers who generally now run and staff the Museum and it's related events.

The engineers were kinda awe struck that I would come from Pennsylvania to their show and drive the car all the way up. That's just why we slanters do it.

Here are some pics from a retired Chrysler employee / Museum Volunteer - Marc Rozman.

Well It has been a while Since I have updated this thread.

I autocorssed the Dart in 2015 at Carlisle .. it wasn't fast but it was sure fun!

Then When I Arrived home in 2015 it had a "crunchy" clutch pedal.

I was Planning on taking the car to Moparfest in Canada in August 2015 but It took me 2 years to sort out throw out bearing, Clutch fork and z bar issues.

I finally got it sorted about 2 months ago and everything has been Skookum since!

I just finished a 1000+ Mile Round Trip to Farmington Dragway for the Piedmont Mopar Show.

Along the Way I was Able to Hang With Lou Madsen In Blacksburg, Ron and Kay Hamby at the North Wilkesboro Saturday Nite Cruise.

It was a Fun Weekend with a little of everything, Driving in pretty much all conditions above 50*, a car show, drag racing, car cruise, saxophone playing and camaraderie with pals!

Here are some pics:

We had a great time sharing car stories and looking at some sharp rides. Glad you had a good time and safe travels. See you and everyone at Hagerstown in a few days.

Yes it is.

Since I built "Ruster" I have pretty much reserved this car as a cruiser, driver, and mountain backroad corner carver fun machine.

Engine is untouched from what you see in this thread and here:

http://www.google.com/url?q=https://www ... 5ZVv9Vh9DP

and here:

http://www.google.com/url?q=https://www ... K1zHtoy4W9

Car is wildly fun to drive and cruise, but was pretty bad as a consistent drag racer.

Greg
