I need a (front) wheel hub for a 1965 Valiant, on mine a couple of the studs are loose & spin, the holes on hub itself are reamed too big.

It looks like this :

If you think this part from a 66 Valiant will work, I'm getting ready to do a front disc conversion on my car which will free up the hubs for someone else's use. Send me a PM if interested...

I have the exact same problem with one of the front hubs on my '64 Valiant. If the OP only needs one, I'll take the other.

That is most likely caused by someone pressing out the wheel studs without cutting the swedge area off before they pressed them out enlarging the holes in the hub.

Yep.

What size brakes, are we talking about? 9 in or 10 in?
I probably have a couple good hubs, for 9 in brakes. Would have to remove the drums (not worth shipping) to get a decent shipping price.

PS: I do have the proper swedge cutter.
FYI: The swedge cutter is available from Goodson Tools. They have for 7/16, 1/2, and 5/8 studs

It looks like the original poster is getting hubs from Zach (halfafish), but my Valiant has 9" drum brakes. I didn't realize the hubs were different for 10" drums.

Not sure private messages are working; I am getting an error message when I send, and have a couple lingering in my outbox.

To halfafish:
I will wait for the hubs, A.S.A.P. please thanks.

To Charrlie_S:
I have heard from halfafish, will give it so more time, thanks.

Steve,
I don't think the PM system is working well at all. I sent two and wasn't sure it worked or not. I got delayed on removing these hubs due to getting my shop insulated, and instead of a one-day job it's been a two week plus job. I had to clear just about everything out so they could access the ceiling from scaffolds. They will be done the middle of next week which gives me room to get the car in and start the front end tear-down. Sorry for the delay.

Zach

Steve,
These hubs are off the car. Send me a PM so we can make arrangements to get them to you.

Zach
