Hi Folks,

I just got done with an interview and photo shoot of my cars for "New River Valley Magazine", which is a local area "lifestyle" magazine. It seemed to go well and the journalist and photographer liked the cars. I spent quite a few hours over the weekend cleaning things up, touching up paint chips, detailing, etc...

This involved:

1) 1968 Dodge Dart 270 4dr sedan (turbo 225)
2) 1966 Plymouth Valiant road/autoX/drag racecar (NA 225) with 64-65 Dart nose
3) 1992 Dodge Spirit (turbo II 2.5).

The 1964 Dart 270 4dr sedan was not included since it is living on the West Coast until next year. That is actually the car he had heard about originally.

I gave the interviewer a blast in the 68 Dart onto and on the hwy, including some *ahem* high speeds.

We'll see what the article looks like. He said he'll give me a draft in several days for verification/editing. Very nice folks.

Have a Slanted day,

Lou

Yup, that's been my experience: "I wonder what they'll print me as having said".

Thanks, guys. Yes, I'll ask if we can post it. Hopefully will be no problem.

Dan, this is the "Project V" racecar that I built in the early-mid 2000s with 65 Dart front fenders and valance, 63-64 fiberglass hood, and rear bodywork smoothed and modified with 49 Mercury taillights. Looks pretty trick, I think. Here's a link to some pics.

Interesting! Didn't know a '63-'64 Dart hood would work with '65 Dart fenders.

Dan: Yep, the hood and fenders+valance play together nicely. I still need to fabricate a grille to "tie the room together".

NCDemon71: The rear brakes are ~2000 Mustang Cobra rear rotors with custom caliper adapters (by me) that hang Wilwood Dynalite calipers. I have a different Cobra rear rotor setup on the 68 Dart, from Dr. Diff. Popular/common rotor for disc swaps.
