Yeah, I know higher pressure = higher boiling point.... just didn't think it was that steep an increase.

Cool, it was just a back of the envelope calculation, but it's ballpark correct.

I'm going to restart the FiTech thread on the fuel injection board, see if I can't post some pics on Flickr instead of photobucket.

Each of your photobucket links opened to a single picture (after canceling the ad) on my PC on Aug 4. Scrolling however does not work.

Maybe you got things straightened out with Photobucket or they needed time to execute?

...also, as I mentioned, I ceramic coated my exhaust manifolds in black. Black is the most emissive color (think black body radiation), it emits more heat than other colors. While this might be good for efficient heat dissipation from the cast iron manifolds, it is radiating that extra heat to the heat shield and carbs. Maybe this isn't much different than raw cast iron, which is grey, but they sure seem to radiate more heat after I coated them black. Just something to consider. Anyone else have black exhaust manifolds or headers and previously had chrome, silver or white and noticed a big difference in the heat in the engine bay?

Brian

I have used black tube headers, it didn't seem to last, have used chrome, its the coolest, my current slant has a dark grey coating on OEM manifold, but I chrome ceramic coated the intake to help, we'll see. I really thought white would have been best on the exhaust, but couldn't wrap my head around how it would look after any use.
